Hi guys!! So I may have slightly splurged at Sephora recently and since I couldn’t keep my excitement to myself, I decided to share what I purchased here on my blog. Here’s what I bought!
For a Flawless Face
At the top of my wish list were a few face-frosting favorites whose praises are sung by many a beauty guru. Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Stay-In-Place Makeup gets a lot of hype and based on the results I’ve experienced thus far, I’d say it’s well-deserved. I also purchased the Double Wear Concealer which turned out to be a bit light for my skin tone but it works amazingly well under my eyes to brighten up any dark circles and under the foundation (instead of on top as usual) to cover any acne scarring. For a flawless application, I bought my very first Beauty Blender (I know – where have I been?!) which I’m completely in love with already. I don’t think my makeup has EVER looked this good.
Blemish Buster
Unfortunately, even at the ripe old age of 30, I still suffer from acne so I picked up the Murad Complete Acne Control Kit to help subdue my spots. My face has certainly cleared up lately although this may be due in large part to my switch to a vegan diet after which my acne subsided in just a few days which was before I even received the Murad kit. That wonderful side effect aside, I’m hoping the Murad products will further protect against blemishes like the always pleasant period pimples. I’ll let you know how it goes!
The Eyes Have It
I may be completely paranoid, but I swear I’m seeing the signs of aging creeping up ever so quietly onto my under eye area. Because of this, I’m really trying to make an extra effort to amp up my skincare routine, paying close attention to the terrain around my eyes in the process. I purchased two Sephora brand eye masks – the Rose and the Lotus – which I’m hoping will provide my under eye area with the hydration it needs to look as bright-eyed and bushy tailed as it did when I was a bit younger.
Swapped Out Samples
I was a bit disappointed to find the samples I requested had been substituted for things I hadn’t even heard of but I was determined to apply an “I’ll try anything once” attitude to the situation and work with what I’ve got. And what did I get? A swipe of Pinrose Treehouse Royal perfume which wouldn’t have been a go-to for me but it smells very nice anyway. A dollop of the Supergoop City Sunscreen which I haven’t tried yet but SPF is never a bad thing. And lastly, several spritzes of Mont Blanc Legend Spirit the scent of which both J and I really really love now.
A Mother’s Day Mini
Using a promo code for Mother’s Day (which is no longer active I believe), I selected the Chloe perfume mini. Its scent is fresh and floral and its size is adorable! Again, this isn’t a fragrance I would have picked and purchased in a full-size for myself but I’m happy to have the sample on-hand.
For VIBs Only!
Sephora’s Beauty Insider and Very Important Beauty programs reward you for purchasing the products you love. I cashed in 400 points and got to pick out a few mini presents for myself. First up we have, the Buxom Full-On Lip Cream which I’m using oh-so sparingly so it lasts and lasts because I like it far more than I’d anticipated. I even got a compliment from J on how great my lips looked! I also chose the Dr. Brandt PoreDermabrasion Pore Perfecting Exfoliator because I’m always willing to try anything that will make my skin smooth and my pores petite. Next is the Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturizer which boasts oil-free hydration with added radiance. And finally, I decided to try the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner and I must say I’m loving it. It glides on and doesn’t budge through sweat, tears and even sleep. I’m definitely eyeing its full-size version!
Well guys, that’s all for my mini Sephora haul! I hope you enjoyed this post! If you’ve used any of the products listed, please let me know how you like them as I’d love to know. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’re having an amazing week so far!
