Hi guys! I am so excited to share my recent planner purchase with you! It took a while for me to decide between the Erin Condren Life Planner and the Happy Planner from Me & My Big Ideas but, in the end, price and peonies won out. I think the Happy Planner is designed beautifully (especially the one I bought because peonies are my favorite flower!) and the low cost of the planner allows you to purchase some pretty great add-ons to go along with it. So, without further ado, here is what I bought…
Happy Planner in Peony
This planner truly won me over as I had previously thought the Happy Planners a bit too cutesy and childlike. After reminding myself that I’m still fairly young and I am not the old spinster I feel dwelling inside my 30-year-old body, I convinced myself that I can still want cute stuff in my life and by golly (damn it, spinster!) I’m buying the cutesy peony planner! And I couldn’t be happier. This planner is gorg! Yes, I said “gorg”. From the inspirational divider quotes and pretty pink flowers throughout to the memory-keeping “This Month” pages and its cover which features a sentence I’ve ABSOLUTELY NEEDED to hear for the past year or so, this planner is life. And even if you’re not a floral fanatic like me, there are plenty of options with ten planners currently available over at the MAMBI shop. With all the form and function you could dream of, these planners are true catalysts of “a well planned life”.
Six Month Extension Pack
As July is the first month in this 18 month planner, I purchased the extension pack so I can start planning ASAP. The pack comes with unmarked dividers, monthly pages and weekly pages plus stickers which allow you to build the months of your choice. The only potential downsides I can foresee are that the weekly pages divide the day into morning, afternoon and evening whereas the planner itself divides days into unmarked sections which I prefer. This can be quickly remedied with some washi tape so no biggie. More importantly, the back of the 2016/2017 year overview page is a page for July so adding April-June pages before July gets a little hairy. Those somewhat minor details aside, I think this pack is worth it if you’re an instant gratification girl like yours truly.
Washi Tape in Peony
I have always loved the idea of washi tape (amazing wall art, anyone?) but I’ve only owned one roll so far and I still haven’t used it! That will change however as I fully plan to use lots of washi tape to adorn my planner. This is the only truly decorative item I purchased as everything else, while stylish as well, serves a true purpose. MAMBI currently sells ten different washi tape packs which are all wonderful. I chose the peony set which coordinates with my planner and features stripes, polka dots, hearts and of course peonies.
Everyday Reminder Stickers
Of all the add-ons I bought, I’m most excited to use these stickers. There is such a great mix of stickers – some functional and some inspirational – which are beautifully accented with gold foil which, if you’re like me, you’ll absolutely love. My favorites so far are the handwritten “birthday” stickers, the gold thumbs-up stickers and the sticker that reads, “Do something today that your future self will thank you for.” Don’t mind if I do!
Pocket Folders
These were a must-have for me as I am definitely the kind of person who tends to stick stuff in my planner and when that stuff doesn’t have a proper place disorganization ensues and no one has time for that. So, yea, pocket folders. I’m in love with the pink folder with gold polka dots and the white folder with black crosses and I’m looking forward to using them all. I was going to write about a few things I’d likely shove into them but, in all honesty, it’s probably going to be pretty random!
As always, thank you for reading! If you are a part of the planner community, make sure to leave me links to your planner blog posts or videos because I’d LOVE to see them!! Happy hump day guys!!

Thank you! I’m in love with it. Lol! Yea, now that I have a proper planner I can definitely see where it becomes addictive. How do you like the filofax?

Once you get one you discover just how many lovely planners are out there 😀
I do love my Filofax though so I’m gonna try stick with it! Plus, the great thing about a Filofax is that if you get bored of your inserts or they don’t suit you anymore, it’s so easy to just find new ones or even make your own inserts for it 🙂
