Around this time last year, I wrote a post outlining four ways to give back during the holiday season but this year I’m presenting you with DOUBLE the ways to help make the holidays a little happier for well-deserving individuals from all different walks of life. Whether it’s a direct donation or a simple choice to shop at specific store or site, it’s super easy to give back! Here are eight ways…
Macy’s is once again donating $1 (up to $1M) to the Make-A-Wish foundation for every single Santa letter they receive so take a moment to write out your wish (or that of your little one) either in-store or online today!!
2 | Donate to Hurricane Victims
Although hurricane season has ended for the year, donations are still very much needed by the many families in locations like Texas and Puerto Rico who are spending this holiday season rebuilding their homes and their lives.
3 | Shop at BoxLunch
Make sure to add BoxLunch to your list of seasonal shopping destinations because they’re donating one meal each time you spend just $10 either online or at one of their stores!
The people over at PopSockets are on trend with their awesome designs, the functionality of their products AND their willingness to make the world a better place as they donate 10% of their proceeds to help people with Parkinson’s.
Making a purchase at Sword & Plough is a wonderful way to give back this season as they’re dedicated to donating 10% of profits to various veteran-related causes as well as looking out for the environment with their products made from repurposed military surplus materials, helping to employ veterans and raising awareness of how truly valuable our veterans are!
6 | Grant a Wish with One Simple Wish
One Simple Wish makes charity gifting both personal and effortless by presenting you with not only a list of wishes but each child’s name along with why they’d love to receive their chosen gift PLUS wish amounts start at just $10!!
7 | Purchase a Lush Charity Pot
While you’re stocking up on bath bombs, make sure to add Lush’s luxurious moisturizer, the Charity Pot, to your cart because 100% of its cost goes to grassroots causes!
8 | Buy a FEED Bag
FEED has such a wide variety of styles (plus accessories and apparel too!) that you’re sure to find something for someone on your list and each item in their online store is clearly marked with the amount of meals (mostly for schools) that its purchase will provide!
Please add to my list by leaving a comment with your favorite charity organization or donation idea below! Thank you!!
P.S. I borrowed the pinecone photo in this post from our holiday photos from last year. See them here!
