As I write this, it’s finally starting to feel a little like fall around here. The trees are still green and it’s supposed to be in the 90s later this week but it’s currently cloudy and cool and, after a super hot summer, I’ll take what I can get. While we wait for crisp breezes and crunchy leaf piles, I’ll be sprinkling cinnamon in my coffee and enjoying the all the autumnal scents I can get my hands on – like the seasonal smells of the Mrs. Meyer’s products I recently purchased from Grove Collaborative! I saw these products popping up on social media and YouTube as early as July and while I get the need to get ahead of the new season (especially for content creators), I couldn’t bring myself to think about anything pumpkinned or spiced until summer seemed to be officially on its way out. That said, I’ll probably pre-order Grove’s winter offerings as soon as they’re available (since fall and winter mesh a little better) but autumn had to wait for me this year. While it’s still not sweater weather, it does feel like fall is fast approaching and I’m finally ready to embrace all things autumn and share with you the seasonal stuff I got at Grove this month!
Side Note: If you’re not familiar with Grove Collaborative, I have a whole post about my first order with them which you can read right here!
For my September shipment, I ordered the Fall Seasonal Kit – which comes with Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap, dish soap, multi-surface spray and a soy candle – in the apple cider scent along with three more multi-surface sprays in apple cider, pumpkin and mum. The apple cider smells like you just made the best apple cider from the freshest apples with the perfect amount of holiday spices and I love it. The mum is an absolutely beautiful sweet-yet-spicy floral scent which – and I hate to say this – probably knocked off lavender as my Mrs. Meyer’s fave (I already have multiples of the multi-surface spray in mum in my cart for next month’s order!) because it’s just that good for fall or otherwise. And then there’s the pumpkin which seems to have the cleaning product community (is that a thing?) completely divided as to whether it’s a hit or a miss. In my opinion, it’s not bad (kinda pumpkin spice latte-y) but it just doesn’t stand up to the other two. Like at all. I’ll still be happily using it this month but it may not be one I’ll repurchase when it’s time to order in October.
In addition to the kit I ordered, Grove also offers a Fall Trio Kit that includes the Mrs. Meyer’s hand soap, dish soap and multi-surface spray in the seasonal scent of your choice plus a pack of their new tree-free paper towels which are actually made from bamboo pulp. Their other seasonal items consist of a really pretty marigold-colored kitchen towel, a vanilla and cardamom lip balm and, of course, all the seasonal Mrs. Meyer’s products sold individually in apple cider, pumpkin and mum.
As my order took longer than expected, I received an email (before the order even shipped) telling me I’ll be sent a free gift in my next shipment for the delay. This is the second time that’s happened since I signed up with them in January and I truly appreciated it each time. Part of what I love about Grove is that they seem to really value their relationship with their customers. It’s one thing to have great products at great prices but the great experience I’ve gotten from Grove is what makes me so happy to purchase from them again and again. They’re also really quick to reply and respond on social media which is another big plus!
If you’re interested in receiving a free 5-piece Mrs. Meyer’s set (yay!!) with your first Grove Collaborative purchase, you can use my referral link here to sign up. I’ll get a small credit toward my next order which is a HUGE help for me because it allows me to gets things for my family as well as for this blog and it’s always so greatly appreciated!! As usual, thank you guys for reading! I can’t express how grateful I am for my little blogging community. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be cleaning up somewhere surrounded by all these seasonal scents… xx
